Cervix

What features indicate adenocarcinoma and squamous cell cancer of the cervix ten points?
I know the difference, one is in the mucous producing glands of cervix (adeno) and one is a surface one. In latter stages (talking 3 or 4) what definitive features of the cervix indicate adeno / squamous. I heard hard barreling of cervix is indicative of adeno (why is that) and that squamous is more visible, with lesions and tumors/tumor. Btw, why do gynecologists press on your pelvic region when giving you a exam?
They do a bimanual palpation to look for any tender spots or swelling of the pelvic organs. As for the features of the types of cancers, I’m not sure. If you are concerned about either, have a pap smear for a definitive answer.
